Alicante

Við erum dugleg að taka dagsferðir og ég er dugleg að taka myndir. Við fórum til Alicante sem er frábær borg og eins og flestar borgir Spánar þá er hún hjá sjónum - ég meina sjórinn er alltaf swag. Þetta var svona 17. júní gleði á Spáni útaf því Ísland á afmæli í dag eða nei bíddu ekki afmæli heldur við fengum lýðveldi í dag - já er það ekki? Jú lýðveldi, lýðveldi. Áfram Ísland!
Við fundum Yo-yo ísbúð og í sannri íslenskri hefð fengum við okkur mikið - úps. Þannig fögnuðum við lýðveldi okkar. Það var sko gaman hjá okkur! Ég sá að það rigndi mikið heima en það er svosem ekki neitt nýtt - 17 júlí og rigning eru bestu vinir en það rigndi líka svoldið hérna á Spáni - í svona 5 mín svo kom aftur sól. Alicante er stórglæsileg borg en mollið þar er ömurlegt. C'mon Alicante step up your moll game! Annars frábær borg með mikið af bátum og skjaldbökum, hver elskar ekki skjaldbökur? Ég elska skjaldbökur og ég hef ákveðið núna að skjaldbökur eru uppáhalds dýrin mínþ Þá vitiði það vá við erum að kynnast meira og meira hérna vó.

We are very good at taking day trips and I am good at taking pictures. We went to Alicante this time and it's an amazing city and like most cities in Spain it's near the sea - I mean the sea is always swag. This was a 17. june feast because today it is Iceland's birthday... no wait we became republic today -  yeah republic. Go Iceland!
We found a yo-yo ice-cream store in Alicante and in true Icelandic tradition we got loads - Oops. That is how we celebrated our republic. We had loads of fun! I saw that it rained in Reykjavík but that's nothing new - 17. june and rain are best friends but still it rained also here - in like 5 minutes then the sun came back. Alicante is gorgeous but the mall sucks. C'mon Alicante, step up your mall game! Otherwise an beautiful city with loads of boats and turtles I mean who doesn't love turtles? I love turtles and now I have decided that turtles are my favorite animals. Now you know that. Wow we are getting more and more close wow.

Benidorm - Spánn 2014

Ég hef núna komið til Spánar svona 15.000 sinnum - okei ekki alveg en nálægt. Ég hef þó aldrei farið til Benidorm sem er bara 1 klukkutíma keyrslu í burtu frá La Marina. Ótrúlegt. Benidorm er 60% hótel, 20% strönd og svo 20% bretar á 'lads vacay' sem byrjuðu að drekka í flugvélinni. Það er frábært að vera með þannig hóp í flugvél í 2 tíma - það skemmtilegasta sem ég veit um.

Benidorm var svosem ekkert merkileg við fyrstu sýn - jú það er eitt hótel þarna eins og risa stórt M, það var alveg kúl en annars bara ferðamannastaður. Ströndin hinsvegar er guðdómleg holy. Algjört logn og vatnið er tært, ekki einn kúkur að sjá. Hún var æðisleg og svo falleg, mikið af fjöllum í kring og allt hreint og fínt. Mæli með Benidorm ströndinni. Alveg 100%.  

I have now been to Spain about 15,000 times before - okay not quite but close enough. Still I have never been to Benidorm which is about one hour drive away from La Marina. Amazing but true. Benidorm is 60% hotels, 20% beach and 20% brits on 'lads vacay' who started drinking on the airplane. Having them drunk on an 2 hour flight to Alicante is an amazing experience - I'm absolutely joking.
Benidorm is in a way nothing special, just a tourist destination. The beach however is amazing. No wind and the water is super clear - no poop in sight. It is a beautiful beach. I recommend the Benidorm beach - 100%
